Cost Breakdown for FEMM Private Instruction

Are you interested in learning to chart with FEMM but the cost is giving you pause? I get it – paying $300 for a class can come with sticker shock. You may think, can’t I just get a book for $20 and learn this on my own? You could – but in many cases that approach won’t be as effective or sustainable as learning in a one-on-one coaching environment with a method certified instructor. Let me break down the cost of learning FEMM with me and explain why it’s priced the way it is.

As a healthcare professional, I need to take into consideration the value of my time. As a registered nurse of 9 years, if I were working at a clinic, hospital, or other nursing facility, I’d expect to be earning $30-35/hour.

FEMM instruction comes with at least 6 hours of personal, live, one-on-one instruction time. Often, it ends up being closer to 7 when all is said and done. So, if we stick with the low end of what my time is worth that brings us to $30 x 6 hours = $180 for teaching time alone.

I also factor in about 4 hours per client of additional work based on the amount of time I have spent with clients in the past. These 4 extra hours per client include time for responding to emails and charting questions, researching information and solutions for clients, connecting clients with doctors or other practitioners as needed, preparing resources like notes and charting templates, and continuing my education to serve clients better. I plan to stay in touch with clients for at least a year from the beginning of enrollment, and clients have the opportunity to extend that as well. So, $30 x 4 hours total of personal follow up over the course of a year = $120.

$180 (teaching time) + $120 (follow up time) = $300

The $300 course fee works out to $30 per hour for private, personalized instruction. I then have to factor in payment processing fees, self-employment taxes and business registration fees, paying for courses to further my education, and occasionally paying for childcare in order to serve clients as best as I can – but I won’t bump my cost up to cover those expenses. Paying for those things will come out of my hourly wage, just like they do for you!

If $300 up front isn’t doable for you, I will absolutely work with you to come up with a payment plan! Right now, my default options are $103/month over 3 months, $55/month over 6 months or $30/month over 12 months. The payment plan options do factor in billing system processing fees. So, you do get a discount for paying in full at the time of enrollment, but I’ve tried to make the payment plan options as accessible as possible.

If these payment plans still don’t work for you, feel free to reach out and we can figure out an individualized plan to get you the care and instruction you need in order to equip you to understand your cycle and achieve your hormonal health and fertility goals!
